Plymouth, “City of Homes”, is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located approximately 35 minutes from the City of Detroit. The population in 2013 was at 8,952. The racial makeup of the city was 96.42% White, 0.57% African American, 0.35% Native American, 1.05% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. Plymouth was first settled in 1825, incorporated as a village in 1867 and became a city in 1932.
