EDUCATION

Most of Farmington Hills is a part of Farmington Public Schools, Clarenceville School District and Walled Lake Consolidated School. The City is a home to North Farmington High School, Farmington Hills School, Farmington Central High School, Harrison High School, Forest Elementary School and Wood Creek Elementary school.

 Farmington Hills is also a home to several private and Catholic schools including: Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Fabian, Mercy High School, Concordia Lutheran School, St. Paul's Lutheran Preschool and Hillel Day School.

 Higher Education Colleges and University Campuses located in Farmington Hills include Oakland Community College, Michigan School of Professional Psychology and Wayne State University – Oakland Center.

RECREATION

The City of Farmington Hills has many parks such as the Heritage Park and the Farmington Hills Nature Center, recreation areas such as Farmington Hills Ice Arena and the Farmington Hills Golf Club, museums and a community library. COURT SYSTEM

Farmington Hills is home to the 47th District Court. The court serves the cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills.  This Court is located at 31605 W. Eleven Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. The court has three divisions including civil including landlord tenant, criminal including drunk driving, dui, owi, owil, and all traffic matters.  47th District Court does not hear cases with the amount in controversy over $25,000.  These cases over $25,000 dollars are heard in the Oakland Circuit Court Located in Oakland County Michigan at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd. Pontiac, MI. This Court is also home to a family division which hears case involving divorce, child custody, paternity, child support, personal protection orders etc.  In addition, Farmington Hills, Michigan is also subject to the Probate Court at Oakland Circuit Court. The probate Court handles matters such as decedent’s estates, wills, trusts, guardianships, patient advocate issues, power of attorney issues etc.
